Melbourne-based conversion company, Polan's Truck Refinishers, have released a new conversion for the popular Toyota Landcruiser 75 Series Troopcarrier.


The Third Door Conversion is now available in dual cab form. Owner, Bill Polan, is completing the final paint and panel work to the new model, and expects it to be a real winner. He says it will be ideal for government departments, rural users, tradespeople and recreational customers.


Polan's will be converting both new and used "Troopies" to the dual cab model. The conversion will be an ideal use for damaged Troopcarriers. The use of a 5-foot long tray body makes the vehicle very practical in everyday use. It also improves its 4WD ability, due to the lower centre of gravity. Details on Polan's third door Troop Carrier

• The door is constructed out of fibreglass with the following:
  • 5mm plate to mount hinges on
  • 3mm plate to mount catch on
  • Internal door frame - work fully welded with side intrusion bar in place
• New door opening/aperture is made out of 3mm laser cut panels and fully welded in place.
• All internal panels are zinc primed and, after job is completed, sprayed with internal body wax coating.
• The door hardware is from the front left hand door (which is second hand).
• The original sliding window is used and the frame cut down to suit the door.
• Repainted in two pack acrylic enamel, inside and out.
• The third door conversion takes three weeks to complete.
• All work fully guaranteed for 12 months on workmanship and materials.
